Comparison of booklet educational media effectiveness toward exclusive breastfeeding adherence

<p><strong><em>Background:</em></strong><em> Exclusive breastfeeding provides infants with breast milk and no additional food, water, or other liquids (except medicines vitamins, if necessary) for the first 6 months of life. Current practice exclusive in Indonesia among aged 4-5 is 27%, while between age 5-6 3.4%. The main contributing factors poor adherence to lack knowledge, which affects behavior motivation. Producing inclusive, appropriate, acceptable media essential manage this issue.</em></p><p><strong><em>Objectives:</em></strong><strong><em> </em></strong><em>The current study aimed compare effectiveness application booklet as educational toward mother's breastfeeding.</em></p><p><strong><em>Methods: </em></strong><em>A quasi experimental pre-post test control group design carried out. research subjects were mothers 4-6 adminstrative area Gamping II Public Health Center, Sleman Regency consist 3 villages; Banyuraden (8 hamlet), Nogotirto Trihanggo (12 hamlet) Sample determined purposive sampling, recruitment performed by simple random sampling. number samples intervention grups 32 respondents, total sample 64. was evaluated attitudes questionnaire, validated record within 24 hours. Comparative analysis Mann Whitney Mc Nemar test.</em></p><p><strong><em>Results: </em></strong><em>p value yielded from pretest posttest p=0.109. It inferred that there significant difference association intervention. p p=0.039 indicating practice.</em></p><strong><em>Conclusions: </em></strong><em>Booklet<strong> </strong>improves due depth materials, familiar intended audience, practical, easy content distribution, visually captive, attractive use. In-app could increase knowledge particular breastfeeding</em>
